CLASSES FOR ANY LEVEL
This is a yoga class for those newer to yoga or those wanting a basic flow class. This class will introduce foundational yoga postures, teach you how to breath, and help you feel more comfortable in your yoga practice. Although this class moves at a slower pace than our other vinyasa classes, you can expect to be challenged both mentally and physically. This class is non-heated (temperature between 65 and 75 degrees).
Yin Yoga and Meditation
Yin Yoga is the deep stretching and lengthening of the body’s fascia. Fascia is the connective tissues linking bones, muscles and joints. Often times pain seems muscular but it is really hiding out in the fascia of the body. Unlike Yang Yoga (regular Vinyasa class for strengthening), postures are held for a period of time to find opening and release. This is a quieter class with an emphasis on turning inward, soft music will be played in a warm room. Poses are generally exclusively done while laying on your yoga mat. This class is excellent for relieving aches and pains, finding relaxation and balancing your busy life. Room is lightly heated to around 80 degrees.
Easy Flow & Hold HOT Yoga
A practice to release the tension through heat from the outside and the inside. We will use our breath to ignite an internal furnace. The room will be heated to 90+ degrees.
Hatha yoga is a path toward creating balance and uniting opposites. In this class we will work to develop a balance of strength and flexibility as we learn to find equilibrium in our effort and surrender in each pose. Focus will be placed on Iyengar alignment and the use of props will be utilized. This class is non-heated (temperature between 65 and 75 degrees).
All Levels Vinyasa
Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement," and Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing and almost dance-like, which explains why it is sometimes referred to as Vinyasa Flow or just Flow. This class emphasizes core strength. You will not only clear your mind, you will sweat and burn calories. This class is set to music and room temperature is 80-90 degrees.
Lunar Prana Vinyasa
This practice will bring us to the mat with a focus inward, searching for meditative flow to produce sensations and energies of calm, cooling, grounding, and the reflective inward-gaze. Lunar practices are tender, slow-moving flows with ample hip opening, seated/supported poses, twists, and meditative focus. This class is non-heated, the temperature being between 65 and 70 degrees.
This intermediate yoga class will focus on improving our overall physical health, flexibility and mental awareness. This class is for students who are familiar with the basic principles of alignment and technique. Asanas (postures) will be coordinated with the breath, and alignment with a wide variety of poses challenging for the experienced. This class is heated (temperature between 80 and 85 degrees).
This FUN class includes segments of cardio, strength training, and yoga. No prior yoga experience is necessary, however it is helpful. A rigorous workout set to energetic music in a heated room (80-85 degrees). You will sweat. You will burn calories. You will turn that frown upside down! This class is detoxifying, stress-relieving and FUN...it's like a sweaty party on your mat!
This is a therapeutic joint-freeing series for all the major joints of the body.
The movements primarily work with the nervous system and bones rather than muscles,
and invite synovial fluid back into the joints. These gentle, somatic movements are
appropriate for all levels. This class is lightly heated between 75 and 80 degrees.
Yoga for Anxiety & Stress
This class will focus on grounding and holding postures that increase
balance, resilience and steadiness in the spine and body. Gentle pranayama (breathing), restorative poses, meditation and a longer savasana (final resting pose) will help to increase relaxation, acceptance, and surrender. The intention of the class is to cultivate nonviolence (ahimsa) and loving-kindness.
This class combines Pilates, yoga and ballet movements, along with bursts of cardio, using a ballet barre for support and resistance. This combination of movements provides a high-energy, full-body workout. Barre class typically starts with stretching and a warm-up on a yoga mat to get the heart rate up, then moves into Pilates, yoga and ballet movements to sculpt and tone every muscle in the body. Barre movements are a series of tiny isometric movements that cause the muscles to shake to the point of exhaustion. Close attention will be paid to posture and alignment, which encourages a long and lean body. The class is set to high energy music in 80-85 degree temperature.
